Representatives of the central authorities, the state concern Ukroboronprom, and representatives of individual enterprises that are the parts of it decided to include the supply of aircrafts An-74 in the state defense order.
This was announced by the Vice Prime Minister—Minister of Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky.
"Based on the meeting results, a number of decisions were made regarding the importance of including aircrafts An-74 supplies in the state defense order in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, carrying out legislative initiatives to improve the financial condition of the State Enterprise KSAMC (Kharkiv State Aviation Manufacturing Company—The Page), amendments to the legislation of Ukraine on the military products pricing and state contracts advance payment for state defense orders," wrote Urusky.
KSAMC (or Kharkiv Aviation Factory, KAF) is an enterprise of the aviation industry of Ukraine. It specializes in the full cycle of serial production, modifying, and maintenance during the manufactured aircrafts’ operation.
During 2012-2019, KAF had no state orders at all. The last aircraft was produced by the enterprise in 2014. As of March 1, 2020, the amount of the factory's debt to employees is more than 207 million UAH.
