A vehicle for the preparation of ground for humanitarian demining designed by Kharkiv engineers was granted a certificate of conformity, according to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

The manufacturer has already obtained a certificate of conformity and a declaration of conformity, which are prerequisites for setting up the production of the vehicles and using them to clear territories of mines. This is very important for the Kharkiv region, which is one of the most mine-contaminated regions. The invaders have mined everything: roadsides, roads, fields, forest trails, and recreational areas.

The Ukrainian demining vehicle has important advantages as compared to foreign analogues, such as a simple design and a comparatively low cost of production, maintenance, and repair. At the same time, the equipment helps effectively neutralize anti-personnel mines and detect anti-tank mines. The manufacturer is currently able to produce two such vehicles per month.

Quote"We are interested in buying our own equipment instead of importing it. That is why, obviously, we support effective Ukrainian developments. The key objective today is to scale up the production of domestic manufacturers," said Ukrainian Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to her, such equipment as the vehicle designed by the Kharkiv engineers will be useful for the State Emergency Service, the State Special Transport Service, and private operators involved in demining in Ukraine.

Today, 20 demining vehicles are working in Ukraine, including three in the Kharkiv region, with nearly 3,000 demining specialists. These capacities are not enough to speed up the clearance of territories from explosive devices. Therefore, we raise the issue of the supply of necessary equipment, the training of explosive technicians, and the financial support of humanitarian demining at each meeting with our foreign partners.
