The building of a Baykar factory that will produce Bayraktar uncrewed aerial vehicles has started in Ukraine, Oleksandr Kamyshin, Ukraine’s minister for strategic industries, reported.
"Construction work has already started to build this factory. The facility is being built in reality and not only in memorandums," he said.
Kamyshin underscored that the facility to manufacture Bayraktar drones would be located in Ukraine. He added that, according to the memorandum, other items will also be produced, which cannot be disclosed so far.
In June, Baykar was granted a license by the Turkish government to produce drones in Ukraine.
