As of 12:00 on February 7, nine power units are under emergency repair in the united energy system of Ukraine. This was reported by the Telegram channel Gerus online.
The following units are under repair:
- seven power units at TPPs of the DTEK group of companies (four units at the Kryvorizka TPP, one each at the Pridneprovska, Ladyzhynska, and Dobrotvorska TPPs);
- one power unit at Slavyanska TPP (Donbasenergo);
- one power unit at Vuhlehirska TPP (Centerenergo).
In the scheme, blocks that are in emergency repair are marked in red. Six more units are idle due to lack of fuel, they are marked in yellow.
Ukrenergo assures that despite the difficulties, dispatchers are balancing the power system, all consumers receive electricity without interruption.
Context. On February 6, Unit 2 of Ladyzhynska TPP and Unit 5 of Dobrotvorska TPP, both at the power plants of the DTEK group of companies, were shut down.
Ukraine is developing a State Program for the transformation of coal regions, according to which the complete closure of the coal industry will be carried out until 2030.
