Top 50 Ukrainian IT companies: 90,000 employees, offices abroad, and mixed working hours

DOU portal has published the top 50 IT companies in Ukraine in terms of the number of specialists. PAM, SoftServe, and GlobalLogic are in the top three.

The rating informs that in the first half of 2021, the top 50 companies in terms of the number of employees increased by almost 13%, or 9,600—to 86,000 specialists. At the same time, the top 5 companies obtained 4,000 new specialists, which is 500 more than in the second half of 2020.

Top 10 IT companies in Ukraine:

  • EPAM Ukraine—11,600 (+ 1,300 specialists over the last six months)
  • SoftServe—9,400 (+ 1,500)
  • GlobalLogic—6,300 (+ 653)
  • Luxoft Ukraine—3,500 (+ 112)
  • Ciklum—3,000 (+ 281)
  • NIX—2,700 (+ 368)
  • DataArt—2,600 (+ 525)
  • Evoplay—2,300 (+ 157)
  • Intellias—2,000 (+ 436)
  • ZONE3000—2,000 (+189).

Rating of the top 50 IT companies in Ukraine

This year, Together Networks entered the rating for the first time. It immediately ranked 27th. The rating also includes AllSTARSIT (ranked 35th), Brightgrove (ranked 49th), and Beetroot returned, now ranking 50th. At the same time, companies such as Murka Games, Jooble, Netpeak Group, and Samsung R & D Institute Ukraine dropped out of the "summer" top.

At the same time, the study notes that 23 companies have grown by more than 100 specialists at once (in the previous ranking, such growth was observed in 16 companies).

It is worth mentioning the negative growth dynamics shown by such companies as Innovecs, where the number of specialists decreased by 53, Infopulse, and Svitla Systems. In the second half of 2020, 8 companies showed negative dynamics.

As for the opening of new offices, 8 companies have opened them in Ukraine and abroad. This refers to Lviv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and such countries as the UAE, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Belarus, Russia, and Poland. At the same time, in most of the companies participating in the rating (36), employees work partly in offices, partly from home, and only 3—completely remotely.
