Already 400 companies have relocated their facilities to safe regions

As of April 22, as part of the enterprise relocation program, 400 enterprises have been moved to safe regions of Ukraine (plus 180 to the number as of April 8), of which 190 (plus 100) are already working. Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the Verkhovna Rada Financial Committee, reported this on his Telegram channel.

Another 520 enterprises have been planned for transportation. According to Hetmantsev, the relocation process is hampered by a lack of freight transport.

Context. By Decree No. 246-r dated March 25, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Action Plan to relocate production facilities from regions where hostilities are ongoing or there is a threat of such to safe regions.

The Ministry of Economy reported that for the enterprises applying, conditions will be created to ensure free relocation to the place of temporary relocation, as well as:

  • selection of appropriate areas to host production;
  • relocation and resettlement of personnel;
  • selection of workers at the new location after the relocation.
