Career
In 1991, Borislav Bereza moved with his parents to Israel. And two years later, he came back to Ukraine. And, as he insists, he refused Israeli citizenship.
After returning to Ukraine, he was selling books at Petrovka market in Kyiv.
'We took copies from publishing houses, transported them to Moscow and Minsk, exchanged them for [book] assortment, brought them to Ukraine and sold them at Petrovka market.'

The production was staged by the Irishman Owen Lindsay and the production company IN Aviva (owned by Bereza's wife Natalia).

Politics
In 2014, Borislav won the elections to the Verkhovna Rada in the single-mandate constituency №213 (Troyeshchyna).
During the pre-election campaign, Bereza was fighting with small stores selling alcohol and slot machine salons. In the video, Men in Black helped Bereza to fight with the stores.
In 2015, he was the candidate for Mayor of Kyiv for Party of Decisive Citizens (Ukrainian: Партія рішучих громадян). He even went to the second round, but Vitali Klitschko won.
In the parliament of the 9th convocation (in 2019), he ran for parliament in his constituency and took 3rd place. 14,000 residents of Troyeshchyna voted for him.
In 2020, Bereza announced that he is running for mayor of the capital from the political party People's Ecological Party, which he has headed since August 10, 2020. In 2003-2017, the leader of the party was Valentin Serdyuk, a member of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs named after Anatoly Kinakh. In 2017-2020, the party leader was environmentalist Elena Pashchenko.

According to the declaration, Bereza family has three apartments in Kyiv: 42 sq.m, 72 sq.m, and 289 sq.m. The family also has a country house (91 sq.m) and 1.1 hectares of land in Sidorovichi village, Ivankovsky district, Kyiv region (Chernobyl zone).

Bereza told reporters that Piskun was one of the clients for whom he helped to create book collections.
'Piskun indeed ordered several libraries: one for the office and two for home,' Bereza specified.

In an interview, Borislav Bereza mentioned that he knew the politician.
'I have never formed a library for Lytvyn. We knew each other for another reason. He came to "Petrovka," wrote a book, a monograph, and all the sellers on the market were forced to sell it,' Bereza recalled.
The market on Petrovka was created in 1997 and belonged to Ihor Vildman. In 2006, he was a member of the Kyiv City Council from the Lytvyn Bloc.

In 2019, Bereza was attacked on the streets of Kyiv. On Dankevicha street (Troyeshchina), a 44-year-old hooligan sprayed tear gas in the MP's face.
The MP told reporters that he was not hurt. The hooligan was tied down by active citizens before he had an opportunity to use the spray.
'Law officials said, most likely, that he was hired by one of my competitors, and they promoted the incident through [Anatoly] Shariy,' Bereza specified.

Crime
In 2015, journalists wrote that Borislav Bereza had a fake diploma from the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman. The university confirmed that such a person was not listed among their graduates and they had never received a diploma form and had never been issued to a graduate.
After being elected as a people's deputy, Bereza submitted a diploma to the Verkhovna Rada, which he allegedly received at the university in 2000.
