Biography
Born: November 17, 1966 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Education: Kyiv Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers.

Career
In 1989, Vladimir Tsoi worked at the engineering and technical cooperative "Estetika" that supplied office equipment and consumables to state enterprises.
In 1991, together with fellow student Oleg Don (died in 2012), they founded Soyuz-Service. The third partner (with 25% share) was the Association for the Economic Development of Ukrainian Regions. The entrepreneurs earned their first money by selling several wagons of tomato paste brought from Uzbekistan.
Two years later, businessmen bought out a share from the association and became the full-fledged owners of the company. Later, they renamed the company as Mega Trade International, and then shortened the name to MTI.
Since 1999, Tsoi has been the president of the company.
In 2007, members of the Korean diaspora opened the Korean Cultural Center in Kyiv. Vladimir Tsoi became the President of the KCC.
Now, Vladimir Tsoi is a co-owner of MTI, a company that includes a large number of stores, such as Intertop, Ecco, Kidditop, premium boutiques, Pandora jewelry stores, IT-electronics stores Protoria, a chain of certified service centers and a logistics complex.

Novoe Vremia and Dragon Capital estimate Vladimir Tsoi's fortune at $52 million, while the Focus magazine estimates it at $120 million.

Serhii Bashlakov

Bashlakov is Tsoi's business partner.
Bashlakov is a member of the Kyiv City Council from the Samopomich party. In 2015, he was elected as deputy in the Darnytskyi district, Kyiv.
He is the vice-president at MTІ and one of the richest deputies of the Kyiv City Council.
According to CHESNO, in the first year of work Bashlakov was rated as one of the most ineffective deputies: he did not vote for most of the questions.
Serhiy Taruta

A businessman, co-owner of the Industrial Union of Donbas, and a Fatherland party MP.
In 2015, Taruta became the initiator of the Ukrainian Business Initiative, an organization aimed to fight the crisis in Ukraine.
According to the politician, it includes representatives of big business: Viktor Pinchuk, Hennadiy Butkevych, Halyna Gerega, Vladimir Tsoi, and others. Journalists call UBI 'the union of oligarchs.'
According to the media, until 2013 the bank belonged to Serhii Bashlakov, Tsoi's business partner. Bashlakov was officially the head of the bank's supervisory board in 2010-2013.
In 2015, bank Alliance was bought by Rinat Akhmetov's former partner Alexander Sosis (he owns 89.2% of the shares).
According to the Ministry of Justice, Miri is a co-owner of Fashion Group, a wholesaling company. She also plays golf and enjoys quilting. In November 2019, one of Miri's works was presented at Houston Quilt Festival.
'The master was working on the quilt for three years: first, she designed it, then she spent a year on searching for the appropriate fabrics and another year, she was creating the quilt. Her quilt has more than 3,500 details of various shapes, more than 150 fabric shades, and it is made completely by hand with no machine seams,' the Ukrainian Quilter's Association proudly reported.

One of the daughters, Yumi Tsoi, works at the British company Bethnal Green Ventures. It is a business incubator for entrepreneurs focused on social media promotion.

Scandals
In November 2019, on the Ukraine Taekwondo Federation website (located in Kharkiv), there was published an article that accused Vladimir Tsoi of attempting to raid the organization.
Allegedly, since 2015, a group of people with Tsoi's support tried to change the leadership of the Federation.
And when they did not succeed, 'Vladimir Tsoi created his own public organization, the Ukraine Taekwondo Union, and now he intends to provide it with the national status, to sign an agreement with the state and receive all the privileges.'

Now, the conflict has escalated to the court: Vladimir Tsoi demands from the journalists of the Kharkiv edition Vostochny Dozor who published the news to refute their accusation. Tsoi explains that he was subjected to a powerful information attack that damages his reputation, and therefore he asks to ban the publication of the inaccurate data. The next meeting in the Dzerzhinsky District Court of Kharkiv is scheduled for September 14, 2020.
In December 2019, the FTU lost the status of "national sports federation." Now, the representatives of the organization demand from the Ministry of Youth and Sports to revoke its decision in the administrative court.

Merits
The businessman is engaged in charity activities: in the fall 2019, together with the Tabletochki Foundation, he collected UAH 12 million to buy laboratory equipment for children's hospital Ohmatdyt.
Vladimir is the head of the Committee on Information Technologies in the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs (SUP)
The businessman is the forth-dan black belt holder in taekwondo. He is the President of the WTF Taekwondo Federation in Kyiv. He also a sponsor of international taekwondo tournaments.
In 2019, Tsoi received an award from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea for his contribution to the development of trade between Korea and Ukraine.
