Nibulon

Founders: Oleksiy Vadaturskyy (80%) and his son Andrii Vadaturskyy (20%).

The land bank is 82,500 ha. The company is specializing in the production of winter wheat, corn, winter barley, sunflower, and soy.

The agricultural holding has 44 production units in 12 regions of Ukraine. Among them, there are a shipbuilding plant, a ship repair plant, a cargo fleet of 72 units of self-propelled and non-self-propelled vessels. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy has invested about $600 million in the shipbuilding business.

According to the information of Novoe Vremia magazine and Dragon Capital, Nibulon is in TOP-10 exporter companies in the country. The company's revenue for 2018 is UAH 55.8 billion.

• 1991 — the company is established. The name Nibulon derived from a combination of the cities names Nikolayev (former spelling for Mykolayiv), Budapest and London where the company's founders lived as of 1991. Together with the General Director O.O.Vadaturskyy, a Hungarian company "KOMBISEED KFT" and English company "Meridian Commodities Ltd." become the company’s co-founders.
• 1992-1997 — more than 10 branches have been opened. Nibulon establishes "Vradiyivs’kyy Agricultural Complex" Ltd. and Sabiko JSC.
• 1998 — For the first time in Ukraine, a loan (USD 5 million) under support of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development is granted directly to NIBULON AJV.
• 2015 — the enterprise tops the list of grain exporters in Ukraine.
• 2018 — The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Nibulon sign a USD 50 million loan agreement to continue the implementation of the national project to revive cargo transportation on the Dnipro and the Southern Buh Rivers and to develop grain logistics.
• 2019 — In Mykolaiv, Nibulon shipbuilding and repair yard launches its first 140-m vessel which is the longest vessel in the shipyard’s history. It has two 45-ton capacity crane Liebherr-CBG360. This is the longest vessel not only in company's history but in the history of independent Ukraine as well.
• In the spring 2020, the "Voznesens’ka" branch of Nibulon was named the largest river terminal in Ukraine in terms of one-time grain storage capacity (it can store 97,900 tons of raw materials).

• In 2016, the Court of Cassation decided to recover from Ukrzaliznytsia in favor of Nibulon UAH 120.28 million of the damage caused to the company in 2012-2014 for the illegally charging "export tariff" share payment without any reasonable as the agricultural enterprise transported goods inside the country and did not cross the Ukrainian border.
• In 2018, the company and its owner were included in the so-called "sanction list of the Russian Federation". According to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, this did not affect the work of the enterprise in any way, because they did not trade with Russia. And since 2013, they had not purchased any goods and equipment from them either.
• In 2019, Inna Pikalova, chief accountant of the Novopskovsky branch in the Luhansk region (one of the Nibulon enterprises), was detained in Russia. The Basmanny District Court of Moscow arrested a Ukrainian citizen for two months.

The media called her the key person involved in the criminal case against Mikhail Abyzov, a former Minister for Open Government Affairs in Russian Federation.

The Russian official is accused of large-scale fraud, the organization of organized crime groups and the theft of 4 billion rubles. In Nibulon, the news was called a surprise. They clarified that Pikalova had been working for them as an accountant since 2011, and there were no problems with the employee.

• In 2019, Nibulon won a trial against journalists. In 2018, the owners of the enterprise were accused of fraud in the "Stop Corruption" program on Channel 5. The Commercial Court of Mykolaiv Region ordered the journalists to refute the information.
• In 2019, Nibulon was involved into a sex scandal. Oleksandra Klitina, a Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, had allegedly slept her way to the top. This was stated in the recording of a conversation between deputies of the Servants of the People with the chief of police of the Dnipropetrovsk region, which was published by MP Anton Polyakov.

In a chat with pranker Joker, Klitina said that an information attack against her was launched by MP Andrii Vadaturskyy, one of the co-owners of Nibulon.

There was a conflict between him and the ministry over the bill on inland water transportation. Andrii's father Oleksiy Vadaturskyy publicly accused Klitina of blackmailing him and his son. A week later, Klitina was fired.

• In April 2020 according to Randstad Employer Brand Research, the company was recognized as the most attractive employer of Ukraine in the agriculture industry.
• In May 2020, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy re-equipped the the Mykolaiv Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital just in 30 days. He renovated the premises, equipped the hospital with new oxygen supply points and laid more than 500 meters of the oxygen network.

Nibulon also installed and adjusted nine modern devices for artificial ventilation of the lungs, completely replaced all the equipment of the catering unit with the modern one, and acquired 300 sets of necessary utensils. They invested UAH 17 million in total.
