Biography
Born on September 29, 1978 in Kyiv.

Career
In 1995, he worked as a courier at delivery service Pony Express.
Since 1996, as a student, he began to work in Sky Line, a company belonged to his older brother Ihor Chechetkin. The company was selling computers and office equipment.
Vladyslav worked as a sales manager. The buyers were corporate clients. He admitted to journalists that he sometimes sold equipment through the well-known driver's forum Autoua.
In 2005, together with his wife Iryna, he opened online store Rozetka.ua. The first item sold was a Samsung phone.

Politics
In an interview, he admitted that he did not support the Maidan and that he had not been there for a single day.
'I didn't see anyone as a leader there,' the businessman explained his position.

On the eve of the 2019 presidential elections, he wrote that there had been changes in the country: since 2015, he didn't face extortion on the roads, and his business had not been blocked.
'I am afraid that Poroshenko's second term may turn into a dictatorship. But I will vote for what have been done,' he wrote on Facebook.

One of in the Top 100 richest Ukrainians. Novoe Vremia magazine and investment company Dragon Capital estimate Chechetkin's fortune at $181 million. Focus estimates his fortune at $230 million. According to Forbes, Vladyslav and Iryina Chechetkin have $380 million.
In 2018, Chechetkin announced a merger with EVO group (Prom.ua, Bigl.ua, Kabanchik.ua).
The Antimonopoly Committee approved the acquisition of shares in the authorized capital of the Ukrainian companies Uaprom and Aukro Ukraine, Tiu.Ru (Russia), Project Deal.by (Belarus) and Ad Agency Satu.kz (Kazakhstan) by the Cypriot company Temania Enterprises Ltd (owners Vladyslav and Iryna Chechetkin).

Wife - Chechetkina Iryna (maiden name Samoilenko), born on June 3, 1979.
Vladyslav says that it is only thanks to Iryna their online store appeared. While she was on maternity leave, she wanted to start selling cosmetics. However, in 2005, big perfume companies banned unofficial suppliers from selling their products over the Internet. Therefore, the Chechetkin family decided to sell equipment. Iryna is a co-owner of Rozetka.ua.
'My wife is responsible for operational issues, while I am for marketing and strategy,' says Chechetkin.

In 1999, the tax police checked the Ukrainian company Terem Ltd. At that time, its co-founders were Ihor Chechetkin and Yevhen Olius.
Law enforcement officers seized the company's property (computer and office equipment), seal and the financial documentation. A year later, the Kyiv tax police declared the seized property owner-less and sold it.
In 2003, the Kyiv Economic Court recognized the actions of the tax authorities as illegal and ordered the state to compensate the Terem owners. The companies got transferred UAH 366,000, which is a part of the sum they asked for, but the rest of the amount was refused.
The ECHR took the side of the businessmen. The case has become a precedent and is now often mentioned in the judicial practice of Ukraine.
Sky Line, a company owned by Chechetkin Sr., where Vladyslav began his career, is now in the process of bankruptcy. Now, Ihor is listed as the director of Industrial Systems, a company engaged in industrial LED lighting.
One of the company achievements is called the cooperation with Rozetka, as all its supermarkets, offices and warehouses are equipped with their lamps.
The company often participates in government tenders, and it has already signed contracts for UAH 35 million.
Among its clients, there are Ukrgasvydobuvannya, the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, the Department of Education of the Dniprovskyi and Desnianskyi districts of Kyiv.
Ihor Chechetkin is a co-owner of production enterprise Ukrainian Papir.

Scandals
In September 2019, Chechetkin publicly opposed a law obliging entrepreneurs to use cash registers.
'According to the law, any consumer can declare the tax office they got a "wrong" check. If it is proved that the check is wrong, the consumer will receive the goods purchased with this check for free,' he explained his position on Facebook.

'So far, only Rozetka has got a portion of mud. But soon, everyone whoever they want, will be checked. We are preparing for our business to stop and to see people with shifty eyes and sweaty hands in our stores right after the law came into force,' the entrepreneur added.

However, later in an interview, Chechetkin explained that his post was misinterpret:
'I've never said that I would close the business if these laws were passed. I say that in its accepted form, cashback allows any swindler in cooperation with a tax officer to block the work of any store.'

Crime
In 2012, Rozetka was accused of tax evasion.
'A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of non-payment of UAH 7.34 million VAT,' the State Tax Service stated.

The work of the online store was blocked, the company got searched. Viktor Yanukovych Jr. supported the businessman and declared that business cannot be blocked without a court decision, otherwise the companies will simply move their hosting resources abroad, and everyone will lose.
Indeed, Rozetka moved the hosting from Ukraine to Germany, the company paid almost UAH 6 million in fines.
And later, Chechetkin told reporters that the store was blocked for 31 days, security forces stole equipment and phones, and called the search raid "the desire of the raiders to seize the business," but they did not succeed.
'Back then, Ukrainian media wrote about "criminal cases against director Chechetkin." First, I was not a director. Second, there were no criminal cases against me. But until now, all banks ask me about the 2012 criminal case and ask me to prove that it is closed. We survived 17 trials, and all decisions were made in favor of Rozetka,' — Vladyslav Chechetkin told in an interview.

Merits
In the 2020 spring, during the quarantine, he organized a charitable foundation Lifelover.
