Second try: Vitrenko makes his way to the Cabinet of Ministers again
Former Director for Business Development at the National joint-stock company Naftogaz of Ukraine Yuriy Vitrenko on Monday, December 21, filed a declaration as a candidate for the post of the Deputy Minister of Energy. Last week the Verkhovna Rada failed the vote for him for the post of First Deputy Prime Minister—Minister of Energy.
Due to the death of the Kharkiv mayor Hennadiy Kernes, December 17 and 18 were declared days of mourning in the city, instead of three days (17, 18 and 19) as earlier. The corresponding order was signed by the Kharkiv City Council Secretary Ihor Terekhov, who is acting mayor until the special elections.
