An International Legion has been formed in Ukraine to fight the Russian fascist invaders. The Legion recruits professionals to conduct special operations.
This was reported by the Commander of the special forces of the International Defense Legion of Ukraine under the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, callsign Adviser, in an interview for the Associated Press.
"There are a lot of people who want to join the Legion. This is about 20,000 — 30,000 people on the border of Poland with Ukraine. We can't take everyone. We select real professionals who know what a special assignment is," Adviser explains.
At the same time, he explains that they are not here for money, their real motivation is to keep peace and democracy around the world.
"What they saw — those videos, talks with people in this territory — amazed them, so they came to support us… I have people from different countries of the world, they are real professionals," Adviser notes.
According to him, foreign legionnaires are not much different from Ukrainians — they are real warriors. The assistance provided by the United States and the United Kingdom to the legion is very robust.
"We have modern weapons, modern night vision devices, thermal imagers and so on. The enemy is treated very humanely," Adviser clarified.
Recall that following the results of March 30, the defenders of Ukraine destroyed 9 enemy tanks, 4 enemy aircraft, 6 artillery systems, and 2 UAVs.
