On June 28, the second workshop took place in Stryi with the support of Favbet Foundation in cooperation with GoFriends IT Academy. The event brought together 53 teenagers from socially vulnerable categories — children of internally displaced persons, military personnel, orphans, as well as residents of small communities and those under the care of social services.

The initiative continues the direction set during the educational event "Ticket to IT", which was previously held in Kyiv. The participants were introduced to 12 areas of digital professions — from programming and testing to cybersecurity, UI/UX design, and robotics. The format included hands-on sessions in mini-groups and live communication with professionals, including teenagers from GoFriends IT Academy who already have experience in the tech field.

The "Ticket to IT" workshop is held as part of the IT Kids program, which has been implemented by Favbet Foundation since 2023. It includes free educational courses for children from all over Ukraine.

How Favbet Foundation supports the development of IT education among youth

The "Ticket to IT" workshop is held as part of the IT Kids program, which has been implemented by Favbet Foundation since 2023. It includes free educational courses for children from all over Ukraine. The first of these was the "New Python" course, organized in partnership with Code Club Ukraine. A total of 352 participants successfully completed it, including 156 children of military personnel and IDPs. Later, a Scratch course was launched, which covered 780 children.

In total, over 1,100 teenagers have already completed training within the framework of free educational programs.

Quote«We believe that access to quality education should not depend on place of residence or social status. That’s why all IT Kids programs are free and engage children who might never consider a career in IT otherwise,» says Andrii Matiukha, President of Favbet Foundation.

After the event, all participants received invitations to the summer camp at GoFriends IT Academy, where they will be able to deepen their knowledge, work on their own projects, undergo testing, and advance to the next stages of training — all programs remain free of charge.

The event brought together 53 teenagers from socially vulnerable categories — children of internally displaced persons, military personnel, orphans, as well as residents of small communities and those under the care of social services.

In the future, Favbet Foundation will continue to implement initiatives aimed at developing the technological potential of teenagers. Previously, the foundation also provided modern equipment to Ukrainian schools to ensure that children in regions affected by the war have the conditions for learning.
