BAE Systems, one of the world’s largest defense corporations, will open its office in Ukraine.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel.
The president had a meeting with the leadership of the defense corporation BAE Systems: Charles Woodburn, Chief Executive Officer; Gabby Costigan, Managing Director; and Christian Seear, Senior Director, Central and Eastern Europe.
The parties discussed the localization of manufacturing in Ukraine. They also agreed to start working on opening an office of BAE Systems in Ukraine, which will be followed by the company’s repair and manufacturing facilities.
"We are ready to become a large regional hub for the repair and manufacturing of various types of BAE Systems products and are interested in more global relations than we have now," said Zelenskyy.
What BAE Systems produces
BAE Systems is a British multinational company that produces M2 and M3 Bradley armored vehicles, M113 armored personnel carriers, M109 Paladin and Archer self-propelled howitzers, M777 towed howitzers, Challenger battle tanks, etc.
In addition, the company is a major partner in the F-35 Lightning II program.
