On July 19, 2025, the application period for prospective students to their dream universities in Ukraine will officially start. To help future students and their families navigate the situation, 
updates and presents its research on the cost of prestigious education in Ukraine for 2025. This significant increase in the cost of a bachelor’s degree in 2025 may influence the choice of study fields and admission strategies.
How the cost of bachelor’s education at universities has increased in 2025
According to estimates, the average cost of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in the most popular specialties at top universities in Ukraine in 2025 is UAH 53,830.
Since this is the second consecutive year has conducted this study, it is now possible not only to name the average cost of education for 2025 but also to calculate a conditional index of education inflation.
Last year, this figure was UAH 42,077, meaning that the cost of higher education for applicants in 2025 has increased by 28%. This significantly exceeds the inflation rate for 2024, which was 12%.
The increase in the cost of contractual education in 2025 also outpaces last year’s growth in the average wage in Ukraine (+23.1%). Therefore, higher education is becoming less affordable for most Ukrainians.

Admission 2025: how much does it cost to study psychology, law, IT, teaching
Even within a single university, tuition fees for different study programs can vary significantly. For example, future lawyers and programmers traditionally pay the highest fees. For those who aim to become schoolteachers, education will cost noticeably less.

How we calculated the average tuition fees for 2025
First, determined the top 10 most popular specialties among applicants based on the number of applications submitted during the previous admission campaign. Next, the publication analyzed the cost of contractual education in 2025 at the top 5 universities that attracted the highest number of applicants last year. The calculation covers 50 offers that provide an understanding of the cost of prestigious education in 2025.
The preliminary figures were published by at the beginning of summer when most universities updated their fees. However, several universities provided up-to-date information for applicants only later. Therefore, has supplemented and updated its research.
