PepsiCo changed its logo and slogan

The PepsiCo corporation, which owns the Sandora company in Ukraine, presented a new logo and corporate identity, changing them for the first time in the last 25 years. The slogan now sounds like: "Food. Drinks Smiles." The company believes that the new logo is "a great opportunity to emphasize the depth and diversity of our portfolio, because only 21% of consumers could name any PepsiCo brand other than Pepsi."

"Our new identity boldly reflects who we are in 2025: a company with a broad reach, striving to make a positive impact around the world and possessing an unrivaled family of beloved food and beverage brands," said PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Ramon Laguarta.

In 2024, the Pepsi brand returned to the retro style: the logo became flat, with an emphasis on blue. The company then explained that the new slogan — "Thirsty for More" — emphasizes the desire for innovation and audience expansion.

The Page tells what other international companies have changed their logos recently and how they explain it.

What is PepsiCo

The American multinational corporation in the field of the food industry PepsiCo was formed in 1965 as a result of the merger of The Pepsi Sola Company with Frito Lay. The main international brands of the company are Lay's, Doritos, Cheetos, Gatorade, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Quaker and SodaStream — now there are only about 500 of them.

The Pepsi Cola Company was founded by a pharmacist from North Carolina, Caleb Bradham, who, like many other entrepreneurs, tried to create a drink similar to Coca-Cola, which was already selling well by the end of the 19th century. He called the most successful version, consisting of carbonated water, sugar syrup, vanilla, essential oils, kola nut and other flavorings, "Pepsi-Cola" (the birth date of the drink is considered to be August 28, 1898).

In 2007, PepsiCo and its subsidiary PepsiAmericas signed an agreement on the joint purchase of 100% of the shares of the Ukrainian LLC "Sandora", a producer of juices and beverages, for $678.7 million.

Who else among the world's giants recently changed their logos

In 2024–2025, such giants as Google, Amazon, Nokia and others changed their logos.

In 2025, Google updated its famous icon: now it is made in a gradient palette, which symbolizes flexibility and technology. This is the first major change in 10 years.

In the same year, the Amazon logo received a bright orange smiley arrow, emphasizing friendliness and speed of delivery. The changes were minimal, but visually noticeable — for the first time in 20 years.

In 2024, Nokia abandoned the blue logo in favor of a more abstract, technological design. This reflects its transition from mobile devices to B2B solutions and network technologies.

After the merger of the Warner Bros. and Discovery carried out a large-scale rebranding, including updating the logo and positioning. The new slogan — "The stuff that dreams are made of" — refers to classic cinema and new content formats.

In 2023-2024, Johnson & Johnson changed its logo for the first time in 135 years, abandoning the handwritten style. The new slogan — "Pursuing Health Together" — emphasizes the focus on global healthcare.

As a rule, the goals of changing the logo and corporate style are:

  • adaptation to digital formats and mobile interfaces;
  • updating the image for new generations of consumers;
  • reflection of changes in business models and strategies;
  • rejection of outdated visual solutions.
