Ukrainian startup for freelancers Workee raises $600,000 in investments

Workee, Ukrainian back office SaaS service provider for freelancers has raised $600,000 in funding. The round was led by Lighthouse Ventures. Other investors include BRISE Capital, Startup Wise Guys, and Ihar Makhaniok, founder of Geek Ventures.

The company reports that the funds will be used to continue the growth of Workee in the American freelance market.

Additionally. The startup Workee was founded in 2020 by Ihor Bauman, Artem Kanaki, and Yevhen Kyselev. Its work focuses on developing an online business management system for freelancers such as coaches, healthcare experts, consultants, tutors, and lawyers. The startup's product allows them to manage appointments with clients, accounting, invoices, and workflow in one place. The no-code software allows users with no coding experience to automatically create their personal brand website and then effectively connect it to their back office management via the Workee platform.

The company currently has more than 3,000 freelance clients, but hopes to reach 50,000 during the current year. Workee has offices in the USA (head office in Delaware), Ukraine (R&D in Kyiv), Lithuania, and the Czech Republic.

Context. Recall: earlier this month, a British fintech company with Ukrainian founders Fintech Farm raised $7.4 million in investments.
